American doctors supports Pinoy pediatrician

Dear Dr. Leonidas,

It is refreshing to see that there are those who have the integrity, strength
of character and courage to speak their beliefs despite opposing the
prevailing doctrine. The American Academy of Environmental Medicine
(AAEM) is made up of many fine Allopathic and Osteopathic physicians as
well as other medical professionals who have as an Academy been in
existence since 1978.

Indeed we support your premise that fluoride is a toxin and is all too prevalent in the environment. In writing this letter it is our intention to share this support and to emphasize its dangers when over utilized.

This organization passed a resolution regarding fluoride in 2006 that
supports the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology in its
denunciation of its use in public water and food supplies. Fluoride as you
know is a known neurotoxin and carcinogen even at levels added to the
public water supply promoted by the American Dental Association and the
United States Public Health Service.

Because the scientific research clearly identifies fluoride as a known toxin
that adversely affects human health the AAEM supports the banning of
additional fluoride or products containing fluoride to public water and food
supplies.

The medical literature is replete with support for this position. We trust that those who share the dissenting viewpoint will make an effort to embrace the scientific literature available on this subject and discover that they should no longer endanger their patients with its use.
