from the readers

Boracay has a long way to go to beat Isla di Capri, or Cancun before it can claim as the world's One Number tourist destination. The phrase "world-famous Boracay" is known only in the world of Pilipinos themselves. Ask 100 individuals you meet in the streets of New York City, or Chicago or London or Paris or Rome etc., or perhaps even Tokyo, if they know of Boracay ... I am almost sure, could be no more than 5% of them have heard of the "world-famous Boracay", much more know about it.

Amen to that ... enough said.

Boracay is considered world class by those who have not able to visit other world famous tourist destinations with excellent infrastructure and five star services, such as Isla di Capri, or Cancun. How can boracay be considered "world class" given its CHAOTIC and DISORGANIZED atmosphere?

Also Isla di Capri or Cancun has a long way to go to beat Boracay before it can claim as the world's One Number tourist destination. The phrase "world-famous Isla di Capri or Cancun" is known only in the world of people who wrongly spells Filipinos themselves. Ask 100 individuals you meet in the streets of Calcutta, or Darfur or Benguet or Kalibo etc., or perhaps even Moscow, if they know of Isla di Capri or Cancun ... I am almost sure, could be no more than 5% of them have heard of the "world-famous Isla di Capri or Cancun", much more know about it.

Amen to that ... enough said.

Now you are talking. World class is different from world famous. I agree with you as to comparison between Isla di Capri or Cancun with Boracay vis-a-vis world class, Boracay really really pales in comparison. Vision makes a difference. Also at this time of Boracay of its lifetime in the business, how is Isla di Capri or Cancun when they are also at that same stage in the business? We need to do an apples to apples comparison to be fair.

NOISY, UPROARIOUS BORACAY

MANY visitors and tourists find Boracay a very noisy and rackety place, especially during nighttime.
It is no longer a beautiful place where people could enjoy the beauty and serenity of nature.
The bars, restaurants and disco places play their music instruments and bands almost 24 hours, non-stop, and the air is so polluted with cantankerous and irritable sounds that almost drive people to lose their senses.
In other world-class resorts, you could not find this kind of noisy environment.

Normal people enjoy the place, not the cracking sound and pandemonium.
We have observed that middle-aged and elderly tourists do not want to go to Boracay anymore simply because they abhor the modern Babel. We do not know if there is an ordinance in the island that prohibits loud and noisy music.

We do not know either if the local and national government is concerned about this problem.
