30 LGU-Kalibo Employees to take part in distance learning program

Kalibo, Aklan – In giving importance to educating LGU-Kalibo’s officials, officers and employees in the Rules of Conduct and Ethical Behavior for Civil Servants, the Civil Service Commission through the Office of the Human Resource Management under Eleanor Isada, HRM Officer V, is set to conduct a seminar/briefing on Distance Learning Program on May 29, 2007 at the Conference Hall of the Municipal Building.

Thirty participants will undergo the Distance Learning Program under Republic Act 6713 otherwise known as the Rules of Conduct and Ethical Behavior in the Civil Service.

Mayor Raymar A. Rebaldo signed a memorandum making it mandatory for the thirty LGU-Kalibo officers and employees to undergo the distance learing program firmly believing that the advancement in knowledge and education will be influential in the push for Kalibo’s continuing development and progress.

A representative from the Civil Service will brief the participants on the Distance Learning Program and will be giving the rationale of the concept of government work not as an opportunity of obtaining employment but as a means of serving the country and its people. Terence Toriano
