Kalibo PNP received kudos from community

Kalibo, Aklan – Kalibo traffic enforcers received kudos from members of the community with the aggressive implementation of the traffic rules particularly pertaining to the non-wearing of helmets, no license and other violations.

25 motorists is apprehended last week alone by members of the Traffic Management Group of the Kalibo PNP and the Municipal Auxiliary Police under the Transport and Traffic Management Unit of LGU-Kalibo.

The implementation is a bold move orchestrated by the Aklan Provincial Police Office Director Benigno Durana and Kalibo Chief of Police Arnold Ardiente to enforce a national law on traffic rules that is meant to reduce injuries and save lives.

Mayor Raymar Rebaldo expressed his support holding on the firm belief that the wearing of helmet will minimize the impact of injuries during traffic accidents and possibly prevent loss of lives.

Serious injuries in traffic accidents are accredited to the non-wearing of helmets of motorists due to high speed driving and often times under the influence of alcohol.

Kalibo PNP is continuing its campaign to reduce injuries in traffic accidents with the enforcement of traffic rules in order to make the motorists realize that the wearing of helmets and having safety devices must be made a way of life from now on. Terence Toriano
