Kalibo aims for a rabies free town thru free vaccination for dogs

Kalibo, Aklan – A free anti-rabies vaccination for dogs is set on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Magsaysay Park near the town hall led by the Municipal Agricultural Services Division.

This free vaccination for dogs is open for Kalibo pet owners of any type of dogs, must not be pregnant, healthy and must be over three months old, and most important of all is that owners must be the ones holding their pets while the technological agriculturists are administering the vaccine.

The free anti-rabies vaccination for dogs is to be held through a simple program dubbed “Launching On Anti-Rabies Vaccination For Dogs” to promote responsible pet ownership and free Kalibo from the potentially deadly disease of rabies.

This vaccination program has a theme, “Responsableng Amo, Matinong Aso,” and aims to give advocacy on the proper care for their dogs.
This is one of the active preventive measures being undertaken to eradicate this potentially deadly disease in consonance with the continuing clean up of stray animals particularly dogs in the major streets in Kalibo through the Municipal Auxiliary Police. Terence Toriano/
