Flash report: Bomb scare hits Aklan Hospital

Kalibo, Aklan- Both medical attendants and the patients in the Dr. Rafael S. Tumbukon Memorial Hospital were shocked after a homemade bomb was discovered by a security guard inside the compound in the said hospital.
The bomb was found in front of the hospital near its entrance gate. It was possibly left behind by an unidentified perpetrators who want to stir the intensity of the heating political situation in the province.
Said bomb packed in a box and white plastic has a marking Governor Carlito Marquez.
According to PO2 Benjie Repedro, of the ordinance and explosive division Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) the homemade bomb was consists of coil wires, batteries, sand and other paraphernalias to make it look like a real bomb.
The said bomb was discovered at around 3 p.m.
The planting of the homemade bomb was coincided with the turn-over of command as Aklan Provincial Acting Police Director William Macavinta relinquish his post to the new police commander Sr. Supt. Benigno Durana.
Macavinta is expected to return as Caloocan Police Chief in Metro Manila soon.
