With regard to the bird flu in Asia I would like to ask you for patience until next week when I am back in the office and have access to my data files. Then I would let you have the most recent account by BirdLife International on the current situation regarding the topic.

With regard to the GEF proposal on the Central Panay Mountain things do not look as good as half a year ago, due to some hassles of the decision making mechanism in the government. We hope to supply you with details at some later point in time.
