Never Too Late

"Tuloy ang Pasko ng mga Bata", this was the project enjoined by the Kalibo Pilot Elementary School (KPES) Teaching Staff and the Gen. Parents-Teachers and Community Association (PTCA) on January 8 in the morning after the flag raising ceremony at the KPES Grounds.

Supposedly, the project of Christmas Gift-Giving was scheduled on December 23, 2006 as instructed by Pres. Gloria M. Arroyo pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 432, s. 2006 dated December 19, 2006. However, as many children could be reach-out, it was re-scheduled on January 8.

Yes, never too late for Christmas is a year-round season of caring, sharing and loving. Indeed, day after the Feast of Epiphany, 94 children-recipients received their plastic bags full of clothing, groceries, toys, foot wears, educational books, rice, and others.

The sponsoring institutions were the KPES Teaching Staff headed by Mrs. Nenita R. Bicera and the Gen. PTCA officers and members with the Pres. Mrs. Cortesa C. Macahilig and the Project Chairman was yours truly.

Objectively, we pursued this noble endeavor to make children of poor families experience the joy of Christmas just like other more fortunate kids and it also hopes to encourage others to share their resources to the less-fortunate in the atmosphere of total giving and genuine generosity. Hopefully, more recipients could be reach-out for the next project.

To all the donors, teachers, parents and pupils, and generous people we expressed our profound gratitude. God bless always.
