Malay, Aklan – Kalibo’s Sangguniang Bayan welcomes newest member, Hon. George Quimpo, on March 16, 2007 who steps in on the shoes vacated by Dr. Melanie Tolentino as she takes up her new duties as one of the Rural Health Physician at the Rural Health Unit of the Municipality of Kalibo.
Dr. Tolentino was appointed as one of the Rural Health Physicians, Dr. Agrelita Fernandez, retired last year leaving the position vacated.
Dr. Tolentino, as a practicing doctor, knows the ins and outs of any clinics and hospitals and is set as an ideal candidate for the post knowing her dedication and desire to continue serving the people of Kalibo, not as a Sangguniang Bayan member this time but as a physician who has years of experience in her belt.
Meanwhile, August body’s newest member, George Quimpo, is expected to sit in the Sangguniang Bayan’s Session Hall this coming Thursday, March 22, 2007 and may be visibly seen during the 110th Commemorative Event of the XIX Martyrs of Aklan. Terence Toriano
