Tibyog and Kusog-AIM expected to file COC today (March 28)

Kalibo, Aklan- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) provincial office are expected to have their hands full today (March 28) as both the Tibyog and Kusog-Aklan Independent Movement (AIM) political parties is expected to file their respective certificate of candidacy exressing their intent to run for the forthcoming election.

Aklan Vice Governor Atty. Ronquillo Tolentino of Tibyog told the Headlines that at 7:00 am they are schedule to attend the mass and then at 8:00 am their group will troop at the Tibyog provincial headquarters for blessing before proceeding to the COMELEC office.

The Tibyog banner under the Team Unity slate will be spearheaded by Congressman Florencio Miraflores, Governor Carlito Marquez and Tolentino aong with their hordes of provincial board member wanabees majority of them are incumbent.

At 9:00 am, the KUSOG-AIM political group which had expressed its alliance to each other recently to defeat the formidable Tibyog group will attend mass at the Kalibo Cathedral first before proceeding to the COMELEC.

The Kusog-AIM tandem is represented by its founders Vicky Ramos for Governor (AIM) and former Congresswoman Bellie Calizo (Kusog) for vice governor.

The Kusog-AIM alliance does not have a slate for congressional candidate after banker Mabeth Mobo-Garcia withdrawn her support to the supposed Tres Marias (Mabeth, Vicky, Belie) group recently as she expressed her interests that she wanted to also run for gubernatorial posts.

As of press time, there are no clear indications that there will be a possible opponent against Miraflores in the congressional slate.
